“2024 has been another amazing year with everyone pulling together brilliantly.

In Specialty, there have been a number of highlights but I have been particularly delighted by the way in which the team has pulled out all the stops to provide cover for journalists and the media going to Ukraine and for aid convoys in Gaza. Turning the quotes around straight away so nothing would be delayed. Well done! The team have continued to grow the media and entertainment business, increased the healthcare range, added a number of new and exciting products, including cover for people travelling to receive medical treatment abroad, while all the time continuing to provide an immediate and flexible response to our brokers.

Sport & Leisure goes from strength to strength and the increasing use of our online quote and buy portal has meant that we have been able to concentrate on adding value and helping our customers. New products including ticket reimbursement have been launched and the team is growing.

The Life & protection team continues to provide a unique solution, offering cover to individuals who would otherwise not be able to find life cover. Each person needing cover needs to be assessed individually and this takes time but the team do a great job in making sure things keep moving. We have added new and exciting products offering immediate cover solutions where that is needed. And we are looking forward to offering longer terms and higher sums insured in 2025.

Elsewhere, the Healthcare side of the business is developing quickly and we have launched new products supporting people with cancer. 2025 will see more product launches.

20% of our staff are working towards CII exams, we moved to new and bigger offices in Norwich, our Brussels business continues to do well – so there is a lot going on.
