Pulse’s Managing Director, Torquil McLusky, and Head of Specialty, Joe Balsom, attended a reception at the House of Lords last week supporting Kidney Cancer UK.

Joe Balsom said, “This was a very enjoyable event that was also in aid of a really good cause.  KCUK really lives up to its motto ‘Here To Help, Every Day of the Week’.”

Torquil McLusky said, “We are delighted to be supporting KCUK.  They do an amazing job and, even though they are a small charity, they help a huge number of people.  Their helpline is really effective and the new benefit advice they are providing is an example of really practical guidance.”

Kidney cancer, also called renal cancer, is one of the most common types of cancer in the UK.  It usually affects adults in their 60s or 70s. It is rare in people under 50.  It can often be cured if it’s found early. But a cure will probably not be possible if it’s diagnosed after it has spread beyond the kidney.
