Pulse Insurance is supporting Yes to Life

Pulse is delighted to be partnering with Yes to Life, the UK’s integrative cancer care charity, to provide life & protection and travel insurance https://yestolife.org.uk/all-news/

Torquil McLusky, Pulse’s Managing Director, said, “We are really happy to be supporting Yes to Life.  They do an amazing job and help a huge number of people.  Their helpline is really effective and the new Wigwam support groups are a great example of really practical help.”

Yes to Life empowers people with cancer to make informed decisions about their care options.

As a registered charity, they provide information to guide people with cancer through all the various options for care. Their aim is to help people make informed decisions and give them the mental space to make choices about the right treatment for them.

They help people to decide what they want to do to help themselves – by providing information and referring them to qualified experts – and then to support them in their chosen path.

Finding insurance for people recovering from cancer is challenging.  At Pulse, we know that is not always possible to find cover for every life, but we like to think if cover is available, we will find a solution.

  • For travel insurance, we can usually help as long as you are not travelling against doctor’s advice or are not actually undergoing chemo when travelling.
  • For life insurance we would expect cancer patients to be in remission / treatment completed and no significant investigations in respect of initial or primary diagnosis outstanding.
  • Areas we have found that we can provide more realistic / affordable terms include earlier stage breast and prostate cancers, once 2 to 3 years post diagnosis.
