The Pulse Clarity team are excited to be launching ‘County Medical’ which is a surgery only medical insurance product.
County Medical is a new product aimed to cover procedures for treatment once they have been confirmed as required on the NHS. It provides cover throughout the journey of treatment once you have a confirmed procedure required, including pre and post op consultations, pre op assessment, hospital costs, consultant and anaesthetist costs, post op physio, and diagnostics required by the consultant to undergo the treatment.
County Medical is an alternative to traditional private medical insurance, offering a procedure cover only and this is the element within the NHS which is struggling for capacity, waiting lists for diagnostics within the NHS are not under as much strain without outsourcing to private firms and other measures.

The overall waiting list in January 2025 for NHS appointments, procedures and surgeries in England stands at just under 7.5 million with more than 3 million having already waited longer than the 18-week target Source: NHS
Pulse Insurance Limited works with the Circle Group as our hospital network and payments will be made directly to the facility if used, however you can get treatment outside of the Circle Group network and we will reimburse you up to the amount of the cost within our network.
